Crazy Family Feature Work

After getting a lot of other projects set to go, I'm now ready to put some serious time into this screenplay.  I'll continue where I left off on my anatomy of story outline and keep plugging away on the details such as the premise, the seven key steps of story structure, character, and more.

Those Who Remember Update

I worked a little more on some ideas for a short story that I worked on a little a while ago.  I started using some of the story anatomy techniques that I learned and tried to apply it to this story.  I still have a few things to work out, but I need to get working on other projects too.

Monkey Kid Book

My son decided he was ready to do some more work on our monkey book and I was happy to oblige.  It's coming along nicely now, and it's still a lot of fun working with him and seeing what he comes up with for the illustrations.

Animated Halloween Movie Complete

We finished our read through and we both thought it sounds really good (which we would hope so after all the time and many drafts we put into this).  This is one that I really want to see get made and be able to watch it with my kids.  It has a great hook that most people can relate to, great characters, and an excellent story.  We also finished updating our story pitch after all the changes.  This one is ready to go!

Animated Halloween Movie Update

My wife and I had put this away for a few months so we could take a look at it fresh again after all of the changes we had made.  This is a feature animated movie that we both worked on a while ago.  We should get through it over the next two or three days.

Unusual Dog Kids Book Outline Done

The basic idea is now fully plotted, outlined, and ready to be written.  This is the last of the children's books I will be working on probably for a while (never say never when an idea strikes you).  I've gone through most of the bigger ideas I've had for children's picture books.  It's been very gratifying being able to take all of these ideas that I've had for a while and finally work through them.  It will be a lot of fun once I've finished writing them to read these stories to my own kids (regardless if they get published or not).

Unusual Dog Kids Book Idea

Yes, it's hard to believe, but I've started outlining another children's picture book idea I've had for a while.  This is about a kid who wants a pet, so his parents take him to an unusual pet shop and ends up with an unusual dog.  That's as far as I've got and I'm not going to spill any of the story yet anyway.

Pyramid Horror Movie work

I worked on polishing up the story pitch for this one.  I never re-worked it since some of the scenes were made much bigger and I came up with a better idea for a couple of other scenes that I was never really happy with.  Now it's ready to be pitched, once I have my other projects that go along with it ready.

Gardening Kids Book Outline Done

Another outline is completed and waiting for me to have the time to actually write it.  I've got quite a collection now of outlined stories that are ready to be written.  But it will have to wait.  This might be a good one to do over the summer while the family is out tending the garden.  I have a view of it from my office window and it should give me plenty of inspiration.

Gardening Kids Book Idea

Yes, it's another children's book.  I seem to be on a roll lately with these.  This one is a newer idea that came from a title (which won't be revealed yet).  My wife likes to garden and she's been getting our boys into it a little bit last summer.  They like to help, or at least play like they have their own garden.  I'll be drilling her for information about what she does to get everything ready to plant and see what would work in my story.

Storm Kids Book Outline done

The basic idea has been completed.  This one was fun and satisfying to get fleshed out since it's an idea I've had for a while.  I even asked my son for some input as to what he would do in the same situation.  He even expressed an interest in helping to draw it like our monkey kid book idea (but we need to finish that one first).
