StumbleUpon

So I found this site called StumbleUpon.  It's a great site that basically surfs the web for you and brings you all kinds of content depending on your interests that you identified.  It's part of a marketing plan I have, and for those who love to just surf, it's a great resource.  There have been a lot of interesting websites, photos, and videos that I've "StumbledUpon."

Payday Loan Commercial Script

I came up with a funny commercial idea for a payday loan type place.  It should be really easy to film, but there is always the issue of getting the cast together.  Being a husband and father, and making time every day to write, that doesn't leave much time to get anything else done.  (Plus there is the mystery video project that I'm working on the marketing for.)

Giant Robot Movie

With the novel done (for now), I decided to go back to work on my giant robot short film idea.  I've been researching a lot for the dialogue and I'm going for a Airplane/Naked Gun vibe to it.  There is a lot of fun to be had with wordplay.

Wireless Commercial Script

With one of the focuses being on some commercial script ideas, I finished one that I had about texting.  I think it's funny, since a lot of the work I do leans towards comedy.  I also think comedic commercials tend to stand out better.  This one needs a couple of specific actors to make it work and I have a lot on my plate right now, so I'm not sure when I'll be able to get to this.  There will be a lot of schedule logistics to work out, so we'll see.

Draft II of the WWII Novel is complete!

Whew.  Yes, it's true.  Draft two is finished and I added a title page and a table of contents for getting to each chapter quicker.  Of course it's not done, there are a couple more steps that are needed.  I gave a copy to my wife, so she can go over it and do a little editing.  I'm almost finished reading her first novel and have been editing as I read.  I'm not sure how long it will take her, I may edit each chapter as she's done with it.  I'm hoping to have the next draft completed around the end of September.

So what's next?  I'm not sure.  There are some other commercial ideas I need to write up, there is a short comedy film that I've worked a little bit on, and I'll need to get the next screenplay ready to be written.  I'm hoping to start on that one in October, and I have a rough outline done, but it's an older one and I'll need to go over it again using my newer screenplay writing skills.

Progress on the Photobomb Commercial

All the Photoshop pictures are done and I completed the next scene needed for the commercial that required the Photoshopped pictures.  The first half has been edited, so I'll just need to shoot one more scene, download the rest of the footage, and edit them in (and record the voice over announcer).  I'm hoping to have it up by the beginning of next week.

A New Presence on the Web

We have set up a Tumblr account to help expand our web presence.  It will take a while to get it completely up and running, but you can check out the bare bones site now by clicking (or touching) this.

I've been plugging along in photoshop to get my Scion xB into some photos taken at the Denver Zoo.  I'm getting close to being done so I can shoot another scene that I need this in.
